The festive Spinner’s Tea is approaching!!

On Saturday November 17th, from high noon- 4
the ETC will be a’bustle with fiber enthusiasts with their pinkys in the air.

For a measly $5, we will treat you like the royalty you are.

What’s Coming Up!

We have a lot of exciting and unique classes coming up in November!

There’s a bunch of beginning classes for those of you who are looking to pick up a new skill
to keep busy with this winter…

On Saturday November 10th, Beki Reis-Montgomery will be teaching a Beginning Lace Knitting class, if you can knit and purl- you can learn to knit lace with Beki!

And on the following Saturday, the 17th, Patti Huffer will be teaching Beginning Spinning– by the end of the day you’ll be spinning your own beautiful yarn!

Also on Saturday the 17th, Suzie will be teaching Rigid Heddle Weaving, a simple and fun weaving techinque on a very portable loom- perfect if you’re just wanting to learn the basic principles of woven fabric.

There will also be a bunch of exciting dying classes!
Like Janis Thompson’s Eco Printing Class– using raw materials from your backyard or a walk in the woods you will print a beautiful silk scarf with intricate and organic patterns. (See the previous blog post ECO DYE┬áto learn more)

And on Tuesday November 13, Marilyn Robert will be teaching a dye class devoted to Indigo. Students will learn how to keep they’re own dye vat, and will get experience dying beautiful hues of blues!

And we’re all very excited about Marika Banyacski’s Mushroom Dying Class on Sunday the 18th! For all of you who are excited by the wet and muddy season, because it means you get to go out hunting those mycological wonders- now you can learn a new use for your findings! Or find ways to garner new hues using mushrooms as dyestuff.
